He was also credited with throwing the last pitch for the Seattle Pilots in the last game of the 1969 season.

More 1969 Seattle Pilots

1969 Seattle Pilots

I was looking at some 1969 Topps cards in my collection and saw how ugly the Seattle Pilots cards were. Most photos were head shots and airbrushed photos up until the last series when Topps finally got some shots of the Pilots' uniform.

I decided to make up some Seattle Pilots cards in Seattle uniforms in a 1969 format. Some players pictured never made the 1969 Pilots or ever made the majors. Here are the first group.

Jim Gosger, Tommy  Harper, Bob Locker and Gordon Lund played for the Pilots in 1969

Frank Kimball played A Ball in the Pilots organization in 1969 and Rollie Sheldon and Jim O'Toole were in Spring Training but didn't make the Pilots.

Bill Stafford was in Spring Training in 1969, Bernie Smith played with the Brewers in 1970 and 1971, Ray Peters pitched in 2 games with the 1970 Brewers and John Morris pitched in 6 games for the 1969 Pilots.

Finally Moses Malone

A few months ago I wrote how Moses Malone stood up Heidi Greene for a private signing. Well she finally got Moses to sign and I got 5 out of the 6 custom cards signed.  In a note, Heidi wrote that Moses would not sign the sixth card, saying it wasn't him. According to Moses "I No Have No Rows" and he never had chains like that either.
